In this edition of the WORLD MODEL HUNT magazine, we talk to our cover model Daphne (Bella) and her modeling journey over the years.
Congratulations Daphne on getting on the cover of World Model Hunt Magazine. We would like our readers to know, how it feels to you to get here?
I am excited to be here. I’ve always wanted to be on the cover of a magazine. It’s like a dream come true. really appreciate the opportunity.
You prefer Bella over your name Daphne Austin, is there an inspiration or a story behind that?
I’ll always choose the name that my mother gave me. I like Bella because it means beautiful, and I know I fit that name perfectly because I’m a beautiful person on the inside and out.
My grandmother always tells me to keep my beautiful soul alive and take it everywhere I go. What inspired me to keep the nome was while staying in California a guy I worked with use to always say Belio to me, so the name was catchy, and I kept it.
Valentine’s day is just ground Would you tell our readers, how it’s going to be for you this year?
Valentine Day for me this year will be great simply because I know that I am loved and even though I’ll get gifts just being loved is enough for me.
Would you like to share any funny or romantic valentine’s experience?
Well, this day to me is an everyday holiday I think you should feel special to someone at all times but a memory for me would actually be from high school when I thought no one thought about me and before it was time to go home, they called me to the office, and I had gifts from all types of secret admires and never knew who they were.
What is the importance and role of ‘LOVE’ in your life?
The importance of love in my life is with love I can live happily. I can feel that there’s always someone there communicate with, a feeling of security and trust.
February is also Black History Month. What do you admire most from the black culture?
When we speak of black history people tend to think we have to go back to the times we weren’t born. That’s not what black history means to me. I admire Toccara Jones because she was the first to show the world that models don’t have to be just tall and skinny. She let the world know that women are all sizes so why just show one size. All women are beautiful no matter what size they are, and she was confident with herself.
You have so many things going on, and you have been very active in the modeling industry. What do you have planned for 2020?
In 2020 I plan to travel more to different countries to do photoshoots. I plan to do more print work to expand my portfolio. Take more chances and I’m also an actress so I will most definitely be doing more in the film well.
Any advice or tips you would like to give to the upcoming models?
My advice to the upcoming model is to be confident. Never worry about what people say or how they feel. There will be times you feel like you don’t have support and at those times keep going and never give because their people that don’t want to see you make it.
How important is it to celebrate this month, and what do you do to celebrate this month?
I feel that it is important to celebrate black history because there are people in our history that went through so much to get us where we are today. The reason this month is special because it’s honoring the triumphs and struggles of our ancestors The things, I do during this month is to participate in black history programs and parades.
