Meet Kay, the Cover girl for WMH Magazine – January 2020
Meet Kay, the January Cover girl for WMH Magazine 2020. Kay just turned 20 and has a lot of plans for her future. If you are a local from Thorold, you know the local rising star. The brilliant and talented Kaydense Kollatos.
Question 1.
Kay, so let’s begin with something very basic. Who are you?
I’m down to earth, I’m bubbly, and get along with pretty much everyone! I’m hoping to be a mechanic someday, I did mechanics all through high school and got awards for it! I have a huge family, we’re scattered all throughout Canada, everyone is immensely supportive! I keep my friend group small and close but have loads of acquaintances!
Question 2.
You are beautiful, and you have an amazing body, what do you do to keep it that way?
My favorite way to stay in shape is working! I used to work in a greenhouse, lots of heavy lifting and being on your feet all day, and I did cheerlead for some time!
Question 3.
What are your plans for 2020? Some basic goals you want to achieve.
Some of my goals for 2020 are the following. I’d like to be more confident in myself. For example, I’m always second-guessing myself, and pre-plan everything but I wind up just winging it in the end!
I also wouldn’t mind starting a nice little family, that’s always been a dream of mine.
Question 4.
What is your ultimate dream as a model?
My ultimate dream as a model is to help people become more confident and comfortable with themselves, how their bodies look and feel. To help, not just girls/women, but men as well to realize that you don’t have to be “perfect” to be beautiful/handsome. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; people just need to learn to change the way they see beauty.
Question 5.
What is the most important quality or rather a necessity that you think one must have as a model?
An important quality to have as a model is a sense of self. By that I mean, knowing what you want, how you want it, and not being afraid to voice it. But you also must know when to let others have their turn.
Question 6.
You are a talented singer. Do you plan to pursue singing further in the future?
Singing is more of a hobby of mine, but I think it would be very cool to take it that one step further!
Question 7.
You are now coordinator with R House. What are your plans towards working with fresh talent in the industry?
In this industry, exposure is everything. The newer you are, the more that you need to make sure your face becomes recognizable. I’ve only been modeling for a little over a year and this is already my second cover, and my 3rd time being published in WMH! So right now, my plan towards working with fresh talent in the industry is getting them as much exposure as I can.
Question 8.
What’s the one thing that you would like to change about yourself?
One thing I’d like to change about myself is how easy it is for me to fall in love, and my boundaries. I’ve let a lot of guys put me through hell, all because I thought my love would be enough to change them.
Question 9.
If given a chance to change one thing in this world, what would that be?
If given the chance, I’d change people. I would literally change the human thought process. We are KILLING our planet, and we say we care but we don’t. Half of us is posting about how sad it is, while still sitting around doing nothing about it.
Question 10.
what would you like to say to all the people struggling to make it in the fashion and modeling industry?
To those of you who are struggling to make it in the fashion and modeling industry, your time to shine is near! I’m complete with you, I’m also struggling! I’m a recognizable face in my region, but I’m not making any money off it! My name and face are out there, but none of it has had a positive impact on my bank account. BUT it will eventually! Everyone has their time, mine is coming and so will yours!
