mother and model How difficult is it to be a?
Mother and model Walking the ramp has its perks, but the glamour and fame get to you after a point in time. Do we often wonder if these beautiful women are real? What do they eat, what are they doing? Who are they dating and most of all how do they manage their personal lives? At the end of the day, all of these supermodels are humans with families. Yes, you might be surprised to see that some of them are mothers with adorable kids, but they are passionate about their careers. Are you a model and a mother?
Pregnancy changes a woman, in a lot of ways, the mind-body and soul. For models, their whole career depends largely on their body structure and going through a pregnancy changes a lot. So how do these models handle themselves and how much hard work they need to put in to get back in shape postpartum? The celebrity super models have a lot more on their plate while trying to raise their kids.
The team-up:
Victoria’s Secret supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio has two lovely kids, and she is doing an amazing job multitasking and balancing motherhood and modeling. During the pregnancy as well, Alessandra was seen gracing jeweler labels. But yes, their jobs in a way come to a standstill for the duration of the pregnancy. As heard on ABC news in an interview of Alessandra with her daughter Anja, Little Anja says about modelling, “you have to pose something prettier than Mom.” Alessandra and Anja were shooting for a new campaign for London fog at that time. It is difficult regaining that strength and building that ramp ready figure along with the added responsibilities of the little ones but ultimately these models find the best of both worlds.
Keeping things private:
Another challenge for the model mother’s is to give their kids a normal happy life away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi and social media. The little ones need to play and have fun like all other kids, like they are no different but with the busy work schedule and the glamour is a part of their job. One would think what the problem with being famous is, but what people don’t understand is that only doubles the responsibilities and the stress. The models and specially mothers to be or Model moms are always under scrutiny by the public about almost each and every action of theirs. To keep their kids out of the melodrama is a huge task. Alessandra says she would not mind if some day in the future Anja wants to model for Victoria’s secret but for now, she wants to take things slow.

Work-Life Balance:
When the kids see you doing all kinds of stuff, they get excited and want to try new things, things that they see their mothers doing and yes that makes them curious. Model Miranda Kerr takes her little baby boy to almost all the shoots with her. There are compromises that you need to make when you become a mother, because then being a super model or being famous is all secondary and your baby becomes your entire world.
These models who otherwise barely have time doing multiple shoots in a single day, the shoots are cut down to two or three in a week. The baby is all that they care about. One can say that is putting your career on the side but then again transcending from a model to a model mom is huge. Your topmost priority now is your baby, and every mom wants to be there for each and every little moment of their beloved children. To Miranda nothing is more important than family, coming from a humble background she is pretty laid back and a very pragmatic person. She knows modeling is not going to last forever, she has ventured into business along with her family.
Dealing with insecurities:
Motherhood changes you completely, Giselle Bundchen said in an interview that after having a kid she felt like her heart just grew bigger and more so she could see it living outside of her. Becoming more compassionate about not just her children but everyone around her. She shares in her book that motherhood not only changes the person you are but also the way you look, you become very self-conscious and lose the confidence you once had and we understand that being a model, it is a considerable part of the job to be confident about your body and if you lose that, there are chances your modeling career can take a pitfall.
Despite the challenges, these and many other model Moms are doing wonderfully both at their jobs as well as taking care of their family. It is true we should never underestimate the strengths and the lengths that a woman would go to, to protect her children. They accept the changes, work on the shortcomings and make sure that they create a better world and a better life for their children.
