Clothing is an extensively significant element of human life. It is our way of clothing that portrays our personality and our choices. Based on our looks and background, others are always liable to come to a quick and not very rounded decision about who we are. They might sometimes assume where we come from by observing our clothes. We use clothes to intensify our impression and also protect our bodies from harsh and extremely cold conditions. We know that every person in the world follows the relation between climate and folk clothing. Clothing according to the environment atmosphere stands very essential for our bodies to survive a healthy and comfortable life.
Why do we change our apparel according to the climate?
The conventional aspect of our clothes is to protect us from the sun, rain, cold, and windy weather. As the earth gives us a change in seasons, then why should we not change our apparel? Although you cannot dare to wear a sweater and completely cover your body with wool clothes when you are in The Sonoran Desert in the US. You cannot think of wearing a mini dress while you are in Oymyakon, the coldest place on earth. Even with a subtle change in the atmosphere, we will intimidate to adopt the appearance that climate permits us. As proposed by the new climate condition, people adapted to the transition by changing the materials, colors, layering, and pattern of their clothes. Yet occasionally we try to put on clothes that go against the temperature conditions. That is favorable for a specific amount of time. However, with the invention of air-conditioning, people can now endure temperature-controlled rooms and the workplace. Therefore, the varied clothing evolves with time.
Behavior towards climate through clothes
Most parts of the world experience Winter from December to January, Spring from February to March, Summer from April to June, Monsoon from July to mid-September, and autumn from mid-September to November. Therefore, in July and August, the wearing rates for short-sleeve shirts and sleeveless shirts along with some raincoats were high for both men and women. Long-sleeved or mid sleeve shirts and Soft layered jackets are popular in September. Popularity for jumpers and coats ascends in November and December, respectively. The wearing rate for coats will fall in March as summer approaches, while the excitement for long-sleeve shirts and long-sleeve jackets will emerge again. May gives a huge rise to adopting short sleeves. These are the simple styles used by almost every individual.
Physiological approach on the atmosphere through clothes
The atmosphere reacts to the human body, whether it is cold or hot. The radiation from sun rays can cause harm to our skin. That is why sometimes we need clothes that protect us and are suitable for our skin. Distinct body regions can read in different ways to the same impulses. However, the physiological approach varies from region to region. When you wear less covered clothes then the heat will resist from clothing. So, the heat is proportional to the covered area. When you cover your limbs, the heat is less resisted and if you cover your trunk there will be more possibility of heat expansion. If you tend to cover just your trunk instead of your limbs, you will probably feel warmer.
Therefore, the physiological component is an ingredient of clothing decisions. Similarly, the usage of cotton clothes in Summer is extensive because of their sweat absorbing capacity. Along with cotton, black or dark color clothes can increase heat extension. Again, woolen clothes are mostly preferred for winter to keep the body warm.
Clothing is something that we require all the time. Clothes are always thought to be the most important aspect of human life. It also intensifies how we think and our way of life. It is factual that the human body is canvas and clothes are carved to decorate ourselves. We wear clothes according to the occasion, situation, occupation, culture, season and sometimes it depends upon the community. Besides the decorative aspect, clothing is much more crucial for us to regulate the environment. It performs as a tool to accommodate the environment. Therefore, we can say that we feel glorified to have clothes to protect as well as to decorate our bodies.
