In this edition of WORLD MODEL HUNT magazine interviews, we have Brieanne Mayne. She was part of our magazine’s very first edition, and this time we talk about how her transformation has changed her physically and mentally.
What inspired you to a healthier lifestyle?
I do not like feeling sluggish, tired, lazy, and full of cravings so the feeling of being energized, less hungry, and clear-minded have inspired me to become healthier. It is a great feeling waking up every day feeling motivated rather than feeling unmotivated and down.
Have you come across body shaming or any other sort of bullying coz of your body?
Too thin too fat I have been called it all. Body shaming is still one of our biggest problems today and it needs to stop. When it comes to body shaming, we need to also understand that we quite frequently do it to ourselves without even noticing, dieting for that upcoming event we have planned we all do it. It is so important to be kind to yourself when it comes to your own body as well. How about we change our perspective of our bodies? How about we accept all different body types of shapes and sizes.
What is now a “No-no” on your eating list that you loved before?
The most important thing I learned during my fitness transformation was that there is no such thing as bad food.” every food is good for you in moderation. If you want to have a healthy relationship with food, you cannot restrict yourself from foods you enjoy. So, my answer is nothing I still enjoy the foods that I love just in moderation.
How has the transformation affected the thinking?
“When I stopped letting the scale steal my happiness and be the center of my self-worth, I was able to really build a true love relationship with my body. Learning to love your body and be accepting of everything-excellence and flaws-is a process and a journey well worth it.
Please share the struggle you went through towards the transformation of your body.
I had my good and bad days, I had days where I loved my body and days where I hated it. The most struggling part of it all was trying to control your mind to love your body and ignore all the negativity around you. To get back on track-not judge her.
You recently had your birthday, how was it celebrating your birthday with covid 19 situational awareness?
I am incredibly grateful to be living in one of the safest states now. So, I felt very privileged to still be able to go out and celebrate my birthday surrounded by friends and family, loved ones. But I know that may not have been the case for everyone this year so that is what makes me even more appreciative.
Share the worst and the best moment of your struggle during your recent transformation!
The best moment during my transformation was having such an amazing coach and support group behind me. Being surrounded by such motivating and uplifting people made my journey so much easier. It just goes to show that surrounding yourself with good energy can really help you have a positive impact on your life. The worst struggle I went through was trying to get myself out of those dark places and trying to tell myself I want to have a positive relationship with my body and meaning it. I started talking to myself and treating myself like I would talk to my best friend. If my best friend missed a workout or gained a few pounds, I would motivate her to get back on track-not judge her.
You were our first cover model. And we would really like to put you on more cover soon! What action plan do you have for your career?
Am making a big move at the end of 2020. I want to put myself out of my comfort zone and explore as many opportunities as possible in life, that I can. I want to put myself out there to the world and hopefully inspire others to go for what they want in life. To get back on track-not judge her.
