Beach wedding — The subtle scarlet shades of the setting sun caressing your perfect moment as you kiss your beloved at dusk. Romanticizing the most important day with a perfect natural backdrop, no fake facades, and the best natural lighting possible.
A tryst with the scarlet hues where your “something blue” would be the vast expanse of ocean or the something borrowed could be the perfect backdrop for some gorgeous wedding pictures that you and your guests will cherish for a lifetime. The ocean behind signifying the unfathomable love that both of you share. Sealing the day with a promise of a lifetime of togetherness.
Picture-Perfect:
Destination weddings are one thing but when your destination is one of the world-class beaches, it just gets elevated to a whole another level. We cannot emphasize enough how picture-perfect the entire wedding ceremony would be. And why not after all it is a once-in-a-lifetime affair and you need to make it memorable. While planning the perfect beach wedding you need to keep a few things in mind to avoid wedding day mishaps.
The location:
By far this is one of those imperative decisions that you and your partner have to take. It can either take months to come to a consensus about the wedding venue or just an instant to find the perfect place. Whatever that decision might be we suggest you do your research about the place beforehand so there are no regrets or unnecessary tussles about it. We don’t want you two to have a blame game post-wedding.
Once you have decided to go for a beach wedding you need to decide as to which one you are willing to do it at. Is it going to be a grandiose party ashore or a more private intimate affair with your beloved guests? According to the requirement you can pick your perfect beach, it should be one that is not in the middle of a tourist place as you wouldn’t want your wedding pictures with random people sporting bikinis and tan lines. Do your research, there are beaches that are specifically set aside for such ceremonies and functions. Picking a private beach belonging to some resort would be a nice option.
The time:
We are not talking about the juncture at your relationship when you decide to take the big step. The best time to “bend the knee” (metaphorically of course duh!) is when both of you are emotionally and financially ready to go ahead and DTR the relationship and lock each other for life.
What we mean here is that at what time of the year you want to plan your big day. Of course, if you want a beach wedding, you definitely cannot pick a time when it’s pouring cats and dogs.
Since it is a beach wedding, we don’t want sultry weather and the makeup running down the cheeks of all of your bridesmaids. Next to the sea is already going to have some extra salt in your fries and we don’t want to pick weather that adds to it. Springs and light summers would be perfect. The best would be to pick a beach that you frequent or have an idea as to how the weather would be at the time you are planning your big day.
Once the time of the year is sorted, the next thing that comes up is the time of the day when you want to conduct the ceremony. A day wedding or on at the sunset where you kiss the bride as the sun goes down so you make perfect use of the golden hour for the wedding shoot.
That is the most suitable time as post the ceremony and an endless photo session with the guests, you can have the dance and the food under the starlit sky plus of course the staged lights with the perfect sounds of the waves crashing at the shore.
The golden hour:
This comes without saying more like a very obvious statement that the golden hour has to be utilized to the full potential on the D day. Might be a very cliché concept, kissing at sunset but it is because it is so breathtakingly beautiful.
To make sure you don’t miss out on the perfect timing, practice the photos shoot beforehand on the day of the rehearsal dinner so that both of you know what needs to be done. Call it whatever but pictures are a major part of the wedding because these are the moments you will cherish for a lifetime and to make it perfect is a big part of the job. A wedding with an oceanic backdrop with the waves caressing your feet as you step into this magical chapter of your life together, just picturing it makes you tear up imagine what would it be like when it’s actually happening.
The dress:
For both the bride and groom the attire is of utmost importance but again, the bride’s dress has to be perfect. Picking a dress with a long trail would not be such a good idea given the fact that the walk down the aisle would be a bit different and you definitely would not want a whole lot of sand trailing along with you.
About all the websites and internet searches would suggest one thing that the fabric that you should pick for a seaside nuptial should be either lightweight silk, chiffon, or lace. Avoid the ornate gowns because they would be very impractical to move around in given that the terrain would not exactly be even. Pick a rather more subtle form-fitting or flowy dress that is breathable and looks elegant as ever on you.
The same goes for the dresses for your bridesmaids as well. A dress that makes it easy for them to move around in. Stilettoes and the sand are not the perfect combinations so try to pick wedges and platforms instead of pointy heels. You don’t want any wedding disasters especially of we can avoid it by being practical about the attires.
The Setting:
This is the one thing that requires extra attention and precision, we cannot have the chairs up in the wind and guests running after them to get them back. Picking wooden heavy-duty chairs for the arrangements seems pragmatic.
Get in touch with the planners or the managers at the resort you plan to do but make sure you look into it because apart from the picturesque beach weddings the seating arrangements can be a turn-off sometimes. Being prepared for every scenario is helpful. A gentle reminder to the guests to dress accordingly would be nice which isn’t plainly disrespectful and also makes your guests more comfortable.
Avoiding plastic cutlery would be the go-to thing to do given it gets breezy, flying plates and spoons would definitely not look nice.
Plan the things much in advance, pay more attention to the time of the year when you want the wedding to take place as romantic as it sounds, executing the seaside nuptials can be a task. Check out the dos and don’ts so that everything goes smoothly. Plan your perfect beach wedding!
